The Court of Appeals was persuasded by our argument that the appellant had not satisfied the requirement of the Children's Code to seek review of a magistrate's decision before appealing to the Court of Appeals. As a result, the appeal was dismissed, much to our client's satisfaction.
Although this case was brought under Article 4 of the Children's Code, the Court of Appeals observed that the Magistrate Rules are subordinate to the requirements of the Children's Code.
